How An Ebook on Goats Makes $500 Per Hour

find your niche
Written by: Moe Muise Guest Blogger

That’s right: a goat ebook. I make $500 a month and it only takes me 1 hour of work.

That’s not my only niche site, of course. It’s just the one that gets the most laughs.

And it also proves that there are thousands of micro niches out there that have yet to be explored.

(I’ve personally seen hundreds.  More on that in a minute.)

The Biggest Myth About Finding a Profitable Niche

If you’ve been trying to find a profitable niche, I’ll bet you’ve heard this mistaken advice over and over: only get into niches where there’s lots of advertisers, because that’s a sure sign that there’s money to be made.

And the flipside? You should NOT get into niches that have no advertisers, because if no one is advertising, surely there’s no market.

Makes sense, right?

Wrong!

It’s a fact that there are thousands of small, profitable niches online that are just begging to be served.

I call these “micro niches”, and they’re perfect for newbies.

How do I know these micro niches exist?

Because I’ve personally entered a bunch of markets that had NO information products before I entered them.

And here’s the kicker. The goat ebook I mentioned? It’s an ebook on how farmers can raise specific breeds of goats for profit. Which means there’s room for other infopreneurs to enter the goat niche with ebooks on how to raise other breeds of goat.

There’s a simple reason why all kinds of micro niches are being neglected at this very moment: the herd mentality. Simply put, most people “follow the pack”, and will only get into a niche if other people are already there.

This might seem like a safe route – until you consider the amount of competition that is in the “proven” niches. If you’re a newbie, it’s actually safer to choose a niche that has little (or no) competition, so you can make some easy sales and build your confidence.

How Micro Niches Can Turn Into Mucho Dollars

Now, I know what you might be thinking at this point: “$500 a month from a goat ebook? Pfff! Kim Kardashian spends that much on fake eyelashes!”

Before you open a new browser tab and Google “Kim Kardashian fake eyelashes”, consider these points:
  • Because everything is automated, it only takes me one hour a month to make this income. I could easily replicate this ten times and be making $10,000 per month and working only 20 hours.
  • Even better, I could go deeper into this niche, doing more niche research and  create up-sells and cross-sells to offer to my existing customers.
  • There’s a perfectly good reason why Kim Kardashian spends $500 a month on fake eyelashes – because they’re made out of mink. (It’s true – Google THAT. But only after you finish reading this article.)

How to Find Your Own Micro Niche to Profit From

If you’re like most people, you’re probably thinking “But I’m not into goats. How can I find my OWN micro niche?”

Great question (although I’m slightly offended that you don’t like goats). Here are some steps you can follow to find your own micro niche to profit from:
  1. Read my Clickbank post on 5 Steps to Find a Niche for Profit AND Passion.
  1. Do a self-evaluation of your passions AND strengths. I know this sounds unrelated to making money online, but believe me – if you have a firm understanding of your interests and what you’re good at, you’ll achieve success online MUCH faster.
  1. Do a deep-dive into the Clickbank Marketplace to see some micro niche products in action. (Hint: use the Search function and set the “Gravity” level to “5”, not higher. You’ll discover a LOT more micro niche products when searching at a low Gravity.)
But keep in mind the “herd mentality” I mentioned above – there are thousands of micro niches that AREN’T represented in the Clickbank Marketplace!

Wrapping Up

Finding a micro niche you can profit from is more science than art – you just need to follow the right steps.

There are many, many micro niches online that currently aren’t being served. Use my goat ebook example as inspiration to find a micro niche you can call your own!
